 Our Melville Primary School and the Whanau Support Roopu work in harmony with the support of the Board of Trustees. 

  •  The Whanau Roopu supports all Maori tamariki and all parents interested in things Maori

           He Iti Pounamu  –   Junior class immersion 30% - 50%.

                                         Middle class immersion 30% - 50%                      

                                        Senior class immersion 50% - 80%

  • The school has Kai Awhina that provide daily support to the He Iti Pounamu classes in te reo me tikanga Maori.     
  • A parent  Whanau Support Roopu usually meets once a term and reports to the Board of Trustees at BOT meetings through the parent representatives who are also Whanau Roopu members. 
  • All parent/whanau input and ideas are most welcome at any time and we encourage and welcome your presence at our once a term Whanau meetings
